Jesus and Reflexology

What do you do when you meet up with someone decades after the last time you met them, only to find out they have moved to your dark side?

Not saying my dark side is appealing to everybody or anybody, but when you go to school with someone since you were seven, meet up with them forty years later, certain assumptions arise.

You ought to be basically the same, right?  You grew up in the same neighborhood, same schools, same teachers.  Isn’t that enough?  Your economic conditions were equal.  No one had a pony.  No one’s dog was an AKC Best in Breed champion.  No one went on to fame and fortune via real entertainment (acting, writing) or false (reality TV).  Certainly no one had better drugs than the other.

How does one become what they become?

It took six months for the real/new person to leak out.  The conservatism to the Right of Reagan, so right it would make Rush blush.  Yet somehow this was married to a big belief in alternative healing. How does one get rolfed and Rushed at the same time and feel good about it?

Odd, but it got better. Right to Life came fast on the heels of a fervent belief in Jesus.
According to my logic train (which to some has fallen off the tracks to dig its own trench), this person must believe Jesus is a mystic holistic healer who isn’t afraid to take a deep dive into acupressure and reflexology.

Not completely horrible.  Where does Rush fit in and exactly what material were Jesus’ sandals?
